One More Thing...

(This will be the last post about my business- I promise!)

I just thought of this today- I can sell hats and scarves too. $4 for a hat, $5 for a scarf, or both for $8.

Also- I received a few orders for fuzzy slippers. I went looking for flip flops to do them on, however, and I couldn't find any, probably because it is winter. I am not done looking, but I may not be able to make those until winter is over. Sorry!

Thanks! Tune in tomorrow for the last North Carolina post!

North Carolina, Part Cuatro

One of the days during our trip, we went to see our land. This was the first time my grandparents were able to see it in person.

These are just some pictures of the ride there.

And here it is! My camera makes the mountains look sooooo much smaller and farther away than they really are. I remember taking this picture and thinking, "The mountains shrunk!" when I looked at it.

This my favorite tree. I would love to build a tree house in it.

And this is an apple tree right next to it. There are a few apple trees and a few pear trees on our land. There are also a lot of black raspberry bushes!

Here are some more pictures of the view...

We are probably going to cut down some trees to the left and right of the gap to widen the view. Unfortunately, these are the best climbing trees on the entire property!

And here is our loverly pond. Isn't it beautiful? There is another one by the barn, but it dried up because it is not spring-fed like this one.

And look! Color!

My Uncle Mike is studying fish and wildlife in school right now, and he tells us all of the different types of trees and other plants. This is nice because he actually found some poison ivy in the barn! It is a rather old barn; we are probably going to pull it down.

More color...

On the way back to my aunt and uncle's house, we stopped at an overlook on a mountain pass between North Carolina and Tennessee. The sun was setting, and the colors were beautiful!

Isn't our God amazing?

A Quick Note...

Last night, our family decided that we would each give something up to donate to the local rescue mission. Joel is giving up going to the skatepark one week, and Josh won't go to golf. The money that we would have spent on that will go to the rescue mission. I am going to try to raise $20 from my business to donate. So if you buy, that is where your money will go!

North Carolina, Part Tres

Still on the Blue Ridge, we came to this overlook:

Check out the view!

And of course, we had to take family pictures...

That's my brother, Joel the weirdo. He's weird.

See? I told you!

That's Josh, my other brother. He's taller than I. :-\

That's my Momma and Poppa. I love them.

That's my fluffy puppy, Hobbies. I love him too. I mean, look at him; he's so cute!

That's a dandelion. It's pretty.

And here Josh is killing it.

Christmas Cards!

I have recently made an assortment of Christmas cards for my business. Here they are!

1. This card is blank inside.

I took a picture of this card before I discovered my beautiful macro lense, so you can't see what is written on the cream colored peice of paper.
2.
This is what the paper looks like:

I know it is a bad picture, but like I said, no macro lense! At least you can tell what it says.

3.
Here is the inside of the above card:

This card has the same inside as above.

4.
Still same inside!

5.
Well, that's it for now! I will be making other ones, but for now this is all I have. They are numbered, so if you would like to buy one, say so in the comments of this post.

A Flower... Four Ways

I finally learned how to use my macro lense on my camera, and oh what a difference it makes! Look at these beautiful pictures I took! This flower is at the W's house. Which picture do you like best?

1st one...

2nd...

3rd...

And finally, the 4th! Which one is your favorite?

A Dissapointment

Today Mom, Josh, and I took a shopping trip to Kohl's. There, I found the cutest pair of sneakers I have ever seen. And in the clearance section! And in my size! They were only $14, and they were Converse, which usually go for around $40! Unfortunately, my mom was buying me shoes for church, so we couldn't get them. I know this may sound silly, but I prayed to God for some way for me to be able to get those shoes. I really liked them! Then my mom saw another pair, not my size, for $10.50. My mom said that maybe we could get the ones in my size for $10.50 if we took the other pair to the checkout and showed the checkout person. I was so happy! I thanked God so much.

When we got to the checkout, the lady started ringing up the items. She came to the shoes we were buying for Josh and opened them. She explained that she was making sure there was a left and a right shoe and that they were the same size. When she came to mine, she found that one shoe was a size 3 and one was 4. We went back to the section where we got them to see if we could find the other shoe, but we couldn't.

On the way home, I was wondering why God would get my hopes up like that only to dash them. My mom told me that it wasn't a punishment, and God wasn't just trying to find a way to throw me off. She said that this was probably just one of those things in life. God was probably watching to see my reaction, though. To see if I was going to have a bad attitude, or just accept it and move on.

Although this was a disappointment, I learned something. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

North Carolina, Part Dos

As we were traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway, our favorite place, we found this overlook. There was a trail on the left of it, so we went to explore it.

The trail looked like something taken out of Bridge to Terebithia or something!

There were some beautiful colors on the trees!

Then we came to this spot. Isn't it great?

Aheh heh...

Here are more colors...

Oh! And Hobbes was with us too.

Look at this picture! Isn't it amazing?

When we came back, we found another small trail next to the one we had been on. Watch what happened:

There's nothing there, right?

THERE'S A BEAR! THERE'S A BEAR!!!!

Or not.
