A Trying Time

As you probably know, this whole moving process has been pretty rough for the whole family. We get a call from people who want to see the house and clean it so it is spotless. The people come, look, and decide it's nice, but they don't want it. Or, they don't even come at all! A few people have really wanted it, but it never worked out.

We are coming up on August, and honestly, all of us thought we would be gone by now! It is so hard to wait and see what God's will is. The only thing we know for sure right now is that He doesn't want us to move yet! Thankfully, we do know that His will is good. That is such a relief in this trying time!

All five of us have grown during this process. We have learned so much on trusting God alone and not depending on ourselves, because obviously, we can't do it! My mom said tonight that if our house had sold only a few weeks after we put it up for sale, we might think, Well, it's a nice house! Why wouldn't it sell? Our selfish sin nature is so quick to say "me, me, me," and leave God out of it.

We have also learned A LOT about patience! Most times we have a showing we try not to think much of it so that our hopes aren't dashed, but we still wait anxiously for a call from our realtor. We certainly have been doing a lot of praying too, and we thank you for your support. I know my friends have been a big help to me!

Well, tonight we had another showing. So it begins again.

4th of July

For the 4th of July, the S's, T's, Y's, (whew!) and we went to Fort Wilderness. We first went swimming, since it was very hot!

We found a nice shady tree to sit under, so that helped!

Before we swam, we played some volleyball.

Many people we didn't know joined in, so it was a fun game! We didn't keep score though, we just had fun!
Right as Madi and I decided to go swimming, the lifeguards said everybody had to get out of the pool because they saw lightning near us. Thankfully, it never actually rained, so they re-opened the pool soon afterwards.

On the deck, there was a DJ and there were a few small contests. First, there was a hula-hooping competition, and Joel came in third! Then there was a limbo contest.

I didn't even know about this, but I found the pictures on the camera. :) Isn't it funny how Hannah is leaning back even though she could easily walk straight under it?

How low can you go?

The T's had to leave after we swam, and the rest of us went to find someplace to eat dinner.

This was my place. Notice the sandwich in my hand.

I also found these pictures on the camera. This was the place we ate.

There were different kinds of music playing, and Mrs. Y determined that they played it so that you wouldn't stay there long.
Let's play annoying music here so they will leave to more places where they will spend more money!

Ah, Disney buses.
These were very appreciated because they were AIR CONDITIONED!
Also because they had poles and ropes to swing on.
Finally, we went to Chip and Dale's campfire to roast marshmallows.
We didn't get to use any of our sparklers and pop-its at home because we returned late, but the next night we did.

As you can see, this boy never looks decent (on purpose) in a picture. :)

So that was our 4th of July adventure! What did you guys do?

What Grandma Was Holding

My grandma was holding.....

MOLLIE!!

My Uncle Mike and Aunt Pam surprised us by coming down the same time we were there! And just that day I was complaining that I hadn't seen them in a while!

It's only been two months, but Mollie has grown so much! She has two teeth, can roll over, and is laughing a lot! I am so happy they are here! We decided to stay a little bit longer since they are here.

I hope everyone is doing well! I'll post pictures when I get back!

Suprise!

So, last night we got to my grandma and grandpa's house. Hugs, "HEEEEEY!!!"s, and the like. Then my grandma went into the hall for a minute and came out with something very special. Before I tell you what it is, I'm interested in seeing what you guys think it is. Guess!

It's All Over!

Last night I finished "Rilla of Ingleside." I'm so sad! I love this series so much and now it's over! I hate it when that happens. If you have not read these books, READ THEM NOW!

Anyway, does anyone have any book suggestions for me? :-)

Hooray!

After waiting one long month, I finally got "Rilla Of Ingleside" from the library! This is the last book in the "Anne of Green Gables" series, and this is the last one I have left to read. :-( If you have not read these books, you definitely should. It is one of my favorite series! I can't wait to finish, but I also don't want it to end.

A Cure for Grumpiness

If you are feeling grumpy today, I have a cure. Just look at these pictures and you'll feel better.

Apparently this cat couldn't catch a real mouse.

My dog would totally do that if he had a jar of peanut butter!

Well? Did it work? :-D

Graduation and Dedication!

One of the reasons we went to North Carolina in May was to attend my Uncle Mike's graduation. He graduated summa cum-laude! (with highest praise!)

Doesn't he look so proud?

My camera acted funny and made his face all bright and shiny in this picture, but I think it portrays how he felt pretty well!

And look who else was there! Mollie was very proud of her daddy.

After the graduation we spent 15 minutes taking pictures. :-)

That's my Aunt Pam's family.

The next day, we had a surprise party for Uncle Mike. (he actually sorta kinda knew about it, but that's okay :-D)

During the party, we had a dedication for Mollie.

My dad started out.

Then Aunt Pam's dad spoke to her.

My grandpa spoke next, challenging Uncle Mike.

My grandma challenged the community to stand by them and encourage them in this task of parenting that God has given them.

Finally, my grandpa prayed.

Then, the cake was served!

Oh, and I found some purty flowers that held my attention for a while. :-D

Most of the party you could find the boys playing football.

In fact, most of Josh's life you can find him playing some kind of ball game.
Another thing you could find us doing a lot during the trip was this:
My aunt and uncle's neighbors have a huge hill up to their house, and we had a blast riding down it!
Before we left, we took lots of family pictures!
Four generations!

Mollie with her namesakes.

Mollie and Mommy!
The F's!

My dad couldn't resist.

:-D
