4th of July

For the 4th of July, the S's, T's, Y's, (whew!) and we went to Fort Wilderness. We first went swimming, since it was very hot!

We found a nice shady tree to sit under, so that helped!

Before we swam, we played some volleyball.

Many people we didn't know joined in, so it was a fun game! We didn't keep score though, we just had fun!
Right as Madi and I decided to go swimming, the lifeguards said everybody had to get out of the pool because they saw lightning near us. Thankfully, it never actually rained, so they re-opened the pool soon afterwards.

On the deck, there was a DJ and there were a few small contests. First, there was a hula-hooping competition, and Joel came in third! Then there was a limbo contest.

I didn't even know about this, but I found the pictures on the camera. :) Isn't it funny how Hannah is leaning back even though she could easily walk straight under it?

How low can you go?

The T's had to leave after we swam, and the rest of us went to find someplace to eat dinner.

This was my place. Notice the sandwich in my hand.

I also found these pictures on the camera. This was the place we ate.

There were different kinds of music playing, and Mrs. Y determined that they played it so that you wouldn't stay there long.
Let's play annoying music here so they will leave to more places where they will spend more money!

Ah, Disney buses.
These were very appreciated because they were AIR CONDITIONED!
Also because they had poles and ropes to swing on.
Finally, we went to Chip and Dale's campfire to roast marshmallows.
We didn't get to use any of our sparklers and pop-its at home because we returned late, but the next night we did.

As you can see, this boy never looks decent (on purpose) in a picture. :)

So that was our 4th of July adventure! What did you guys do?

This made me want to cry! The pool games with complete strangers, sitting on rails because the parents rightfully had the chairs, taking over a whole air conditioned bus. The sweet sweet memories.

And I missed you every minute of it!
