A couple Saturdays ago, it was a beautiful day, so we went on our first exploration of the year: Margarette Falls! It’s so great that these kinds of things are so close to us now. :)
(sorry there are so many photos!)
Twas a gorgeous day!
Rhododendrons! Beautiful in June!
The trail was easy at the beginning. The Boys started picking up cool rocks they found.
Josh loves doing this kind of thing.
This picture was an accident, but it looks like my dad is standing on a gigantic tree! :D
Halfway there: the trail started getting harder.
We had to walk over many rock bridges like this on the trail.
Another “bridge” we had to walk over. We even had to walk over logs! It was quite the hike.
We walked next to this gigantic cliff- it went straight up!
Finally we arrived at the falls!
Soon Josh was down here skipping and throwing rocks, like he loves to do!
He hit the top. He’s got quite the arm. :)
It was also cold from the spray of the falls!
Dad then proceeded to freak us all out. Thing is, he used to do stuff like this all the time when he was growing up as an MK.
That gives you some perspective for the size of the falls.
Then Josh went up there, and Mom really started to get worried. :)
Don’t worry, they made it back. :)
Eventually we had to leave the falls. They really were gorgeous!
I really like this picture, for some reason.
It’s so fun to go to places like this, especially since they’re only a short drive away! :)

Love your post, and your 40 times one million photos! It ALMOST makes me want to get out there and DO something.
Almost!
I could just see your Dad pouring over maps before you guys left. ;-)
Wow! It's gorgeous! Thanks for all the pictures!
