House Construction: Parts 1&2

Construction on our house has finally begun! I’ll be keeping you updated here as progress is made. It’s so exciting!

These pictures are of the barn burning. It wasn’t necessary for our house to be built, but it was old and dilapidated and needed to come down. Plus, it’s where my L grandparents want to build their house.

Step 1 of construction: Excavation. (Digging :)

I call it “The Hole.”

The Hole was dug because there’s a hill where our house is going to be, and we’re going to have a basement. The Hole evened the ground and made space for our basement.

Step 2: Driveway

The driveway isn’t finished; it will be a gravel driveway.

Step 3: The foundation!
