I Don't Celebrate Valentine's Day

For two reasons.

One, I don't have a valentine. Not that I need one or anything.

Two, I celebrate something else on February 14.

I celebrate Natalie Day!

Today is Natalie's 15th birthday! Hooray! Here are some pictures that remind me of the fun I've had with her. :)

Our picnic at the park!

A squirrel tried to eat our lunch.

The surprise party she threw for both Glenna AND me! She made us both think we were planning a party for each other. :D

We both love The Rocket Summer!

I worked with her in Sparks :)

Ah, Owl City.

Slurpees of course!

Our favorite show to watch together while eating chips and salsa. :)

And no bakes!

This...this is a long story. haha :D

And of course Sammy, her puppy! He curls up with us as long as we have his favorite blanket :).

Natalie took me on one of my last days in FL to have my first Jeremiah's! Yes, I hadn't had one before!

On my last day in FL, Glenna, Natalie, and I went to the mall to take pictures in a photo booth. :)

I love you Hankie! Happy birthday! See you soon! :)

English

English is a strange language.

Read this word aloud: GHOTI

Sounds like "gotee," right?

Now, pronounce these words: Rough/Women/Nation

RouGH

WOmen

NaTIon

Now, put those letters together and pronounce them the same way you did in the three previous words. GHOTI is now pronounced "Fish." Yep, fish. See, the "gh" in "rough" sounds like an "F." The "O" in "women" sounds like an "I." The "ti" in "nation" is pronounced "sh."

Fish.

I'm very glad this was my first language.
